ALCOHOL-FREE FOR THE FIRST TIME
The BeerTasting Community Award has already been successfully held three times in cooperation with the European Beer Star—as a strong complement to one of Europe’s most prestigious beer competitions.
The goal: to give the community an official voice alongside the high-profile expert jury of the European Beer Star. Because a beer awarded by experts is not automatically the one that excites consumers. The Community Award creates an additional, relevant distinction—driven by real market proximity and authentic feedback.
HOW WAS IT LAST YEAR?
Last year, Autenrieder Brewery impressed with its Kupfer Bier as the Community winner in Germany, while Stiegl won in Austria with its Goldbräu—both clearly recognized as favorites of the community.
In light of the dynamic growth in the non-alcoholic beer segment, we are now consistently expanding the Community Award to include the Alcohol-Free category. Together with the European Beer Star, we are thus setting a strong example for quality and innovation in this growing market.
WHICH BEERS ARE INCLUDED?
Eligible are the non-alcoholic beers that have been awarded at the European Beer Star over the past three years, as well as the top-rated non-alcoholic beers in the BeerTasting app. This way, we combine award-winning top quality with proven community relevance.
The proven concept remains unchanged: breweries submit their beers without labels. Neutral labeling by our team ensures a completely blind tasting—and therefore maximum objectivity. Every rating flows directly into the official final result.

KEY DATES
- Voting is possible as soon as you receive the package.
- A preliminary interim ranking will be published on April 5, 2026 (Good Friday).
- The official award ceremony will take place at the European Beer Star – Night of the Winners in autumn 2026.
We will likely already announce on Good Friday which brewery is behind each beer. However, this depends on the number of votes submitted.
BEER STYLES
The package includes bottom-fermented Helles beers, a Pale Ale, and an IPA. Non-alcoholic wheat beers have deliberately not been included this time.
